Last orders have been called at the Wynford A Reading pub which has been serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community for 22 years is closing down. Simon Hallam, who managed the Wynford Arms for more than two decades, died on Saturday, June 7. He managed the pub on Kings Road for 22 years, during which it was one of the only LGBTQIA+ venues in the town.
It became the first queer-friendly pub in Reading when it opened insince which it became the birthplace of the Reading Pride movement.
